Ingredients:
1/2 bitter gourd (cut chunk)
1 corn (cut half)
2-3 spare ribs
salt to taste
1 ginger slice
1 honey date (washed)
1 tbsp shao xing wine
Method:
1. Blanch Spare Ribs . (Can see this video for instruction : https://youtu.be/yuqvEJysfIM)
2. Add all ingredients (except salt) in a double pot.
3. Boil for 3 hours.
4. Add salt to taste and ready to serve.
White Radish Yu Zu Spare Rib Soup
(for 2 person)
Ingredients:
1/2 white radish
1 handful of Yu Zu
2-3 spare ribs
salt to taste
1 ginger slice
1 honey date (washed)
1 tbsp shao xing wine
Methods:
1. Blanch Spare Ribs . (Can see this video for instruction : https://youtu.be/yuqvEJysfIM)
2. Add all ingredients (except salt) in a double pot.
3. Boil for 3 hours.
4. Add salt to taste and ready to serve.
It is quite therapeutic to watch the hawker do made to order curry puff in front of you. And the excitement of watching your order being prepared is also a good experience. Enjoy!

No leaves Bak Chang Recipe 无叶肉粽食谱 Part 2 (For 2 - 3 Person)
Ingredients:
1 and half cup Japanese Short Grain Rice
250g pork belly (I used soup meat as less oily and tender)
1/2 pkt roasted chestnut without shell
2 tbsp dried prawn (washed and soaked)
5-6 dried mushroom (washed and soaked)
Rice Seasoning:
1/2 bowl mushroom water
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp five spice powder
1 tbsp shallot oil
(marinate in rice cooker while you do the meat part)
Meat and Mushroom seasoning:
1 tbsp hua diao wine
1tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp five spice powder
5-6 small rock sugar
(Cook for 20 minutes or more)
Method:
1. Fried dried prawn till fragrant. Add marinated meat and fry.
2. Simmer for 20 minutes.
3. Add meat mixture to rice in rice cooker.Top with chestnut and salted egg yolk.
3. Using traditional rice cooker, press "cook" mode. And let it cook till it turn "warm" mode.
4. Use rice bowl to form rice dumpling shape. Ready to serve.
Note: This rice dumpling is not oily, as I used very little oil. Healthier Choice!
Kurma Milk Recipe:
Ingredients:
5 Kurma Dates
400ml Milk
Method:
1. Blend till no more dates residue. Ready to serve.
Note: No need to add additional sugar.
I love all things with curry, be it curry puff, curry rice, curry with bread, with prata... the list goes on.
If you are like me, you will enjoy this easy to cook curry recipe. The ingredients i used is also very basic: just onion, potatoes and chicken thigh. I have cooked this N times and it never fail me.
Singapore Style Curry Mee 新加坡式咖喱面 Author: Foodieatplayground
Ingredients:
1 onion (slice)
2-3 potatoes (cut chunk) - I like my curry with alot of potatoes
1 chicken thigh - I use skinless chicken thigh
2 tbsp chicken curry powder
100ml coconut milk
500ml water
1 chicken stock cube
1 tbsp soy sauce
a pinch of sugar
Method:
1. Blanch chicken thigh with cold water till boil.
2. Remove with heat and transfer to a pot.
3. Marinate chicken thigh with 1 tbsp of curry powder.
4. In the same pot fry onion till soften.
5. Add water and chicken stock cube. And 1 tbsp of curry powder. Stir well.
6. Add potatoes chucks and wait for it to boil.
7. Simmer for 15 minutes till potatoes soften.
8. Add coconut milk. Stir well.
9. Season with sugar and soy sauce.
10. Remove chicken thigh from curry and shred.
11. In a separate pot, boil noodle. (or beehoon)
12. Transfer to bowl and add in shredded chicken.
13. Add in potatoes and curry.
14. Ready to serve.

Butterfly Pea Flower Mango Coconut Agar Agar 蝶豆花芒果椰奶果冻 Author: Foodieatplayground
For Blue Agar Agar
Ingredients:
7g Agar Agar Powder
500g Butterfly Pea Flower and Mint Water
70g Sugar
Method:
1. Soak Butterfly Pea Flower and Mint in water for 10 minutes. Sieve well.
2. Pour into a pot, with Agar agar powder and sugar. Stir well.
3. Remove from heat when sugar melt and texture thicken.
4. Pour onto mold half filled.
Coconut portion:
Ingredients:
270ml water
230ml coconut milk
70g sugar
7g agar agar powder
1 mango
Method:
1. Pour water, coconut milk into a pot, add Agar agar powder and sugar. Stir well.
2. Remove from heat when sugar melt and texture thicken.
3. Pour onto mold 90% filled. Add mango bits. Then pour the rest to the top.
4. Use toothpick to remove bubble.
5. Put in fridge to chill till harden and ready to serve.
